CD-Rom BLUE SARDINIA - the most beautiful coasts
TRADITIONS
This is certainly not the place where to sing the Sardinians’ praises, an ancient people that, since prehistory, has had to fight the scarcity of resources of its island, rich in panoramas but pooor in water and food. The hard reality of everyday life is still faced, in many parts of the island. With the strength of so many souls, rude and noble at the same time, moulded by toil and still ready to dispense all possible kindness and, at least, a frugal hospitality to both friends and foreigners.
Sardinia is a land of contrasts: shepherds lead their flocks to the pasture (and they will probably do it forever) generally in lonely places, but also below the surrealistic chimneys of oil refineries and near very modern tourist settlements built close the ancient stazzi (these too bound to last) of shepherds and farmers’ estates. A land, no longer poor but certainly full of problems, where man has been engaged since  ever in redeeming his on condition, without ever losing sight of his own identity.
